ABOUT FOGGY BOTTOM WOODWORKS, LLC

This cabinet shop started almost by accident as Rick Tisdale had always been interested in learning more about woodworking and decided to tackle the task of making kitchen cabinets for his own home. Word got around and someone had made the comment to Rick, “I hear you build cabinets!” As they say, the rest is history! Foggy Bottom Woodworks, LLC was founded in 1999 by Rick & Nancy Tisdale in a garage on their home property. Over the years (and a couple moves to accommodate the expanding business), Foggy Bottom grew from a one-man shop in a garage into a multi-building facility at the present location of 555 E Warehouse St in Muscoda, WI employing around 10-12 full and part-time employees. Rick and Nancy are both still very active in the business operations, along with their son, Danny. Danny received his Industrial Engineering degree from UW-Platteville in 2011 and since, has been the primary CAD programmer, CNC operator, solid surface & Wilsonart Thinscape countertop fabricator… along with filling in nearly everywhere else in the “cabinet shop” part of the business, as needed. Their oldest son, Andy, is also active in the business by performing maintenance on machines and equipment along with delivering loads of shipping crates to our customer near Chicago. When you stop in, our mascot, Bandit, will be sure to greet you at the door!

In addition to the cabinet shop, we fabricate packing materials for a local business in Muscoda and have a crate division that makes shipping crates for the customer mentioned above near Chicago. The crate business has its own crew of 3-4 Foggy Bottom employees dedicated to it. Recently, we became a distributor of UNEEDA sandpaper and are actively growing that part of the business.
